Every section opens the same way: a title-card — kanji with the ember bar, a mono number-kicker, a mincho title, the reading — then a lede at 17.5px that says the one thing the section is for.
Body prose runs at 15.5/1.64 on the secondary tone, with bold reserved for the load-bearing phrase and code spans for identifiers. Keep paragraphs at measure (820px); let whitespace, not boxes, do the separating.
The callout closes the section. One kanji as the mark, ember-soft well, and the single claim the reader must leave with — never more than one callout per section.
Parallel claims sit in a two-column card grid: kanji keyword in ember, mincho heading, three lines of body. The corner number is a quiet index, not a rank.
Total emphasis is fixed. Default everything to the ground; under ~15% of any view carries colour at rest.
Hierarchy rides lightness and weight. Hue is rationed to a few nominal categories, kept muted.
The single warm accent marks focus and action only — once or twice per screen, never decoration.
Near-monochrome, low saturation, muted ground. The floor cost of looking must stay low.
Policy sections end in a paired rule card — ok-green pluses against ake-red dashes, both carried by the glyph as much as the colour.
